The hit anime movie will open in the United States of America and Canada from March, 18 – with tickets going on sale from February, 25.

Fans will be delighted to know that the film will be available to watch in theatres in both the subbed and dubbed versions. Jujutsu Kaisen 0 will not only be showing in over 1500 theatres, but also in selected US-based IMAX theatres.

The movie will then arrive in theatres in the “United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, France with CRG events, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, Austria, Switzerland, Sweden, Finland, Netherlands, French-speaking Africa and Latin America.”

Unfortunately, a specific release date for territories outside North America was not confirmed in the recent press release. However, fans in these territories can expect the movie to arrive in cinemas within a month or two, as is the trend with the release of modern anime films.

A box-office sensation in Japan…

Jujutsu Kaisen 0 has received an astonishing reception in Japan, having opened domestically back in December 2021.

Over 15,000 fans of the series attended the midnight debut screenings across the country, with over one million tickets being projected to be sold on its opening day!

At the time of writing, the film has earned over ¥9,310,477,450 (roughly $81.7 million) at the global box office – with that figure expected to rise dramatically when it debuts outside Japan in March, 2022.

The movie also premiered to a fantastic response from critics and was nominated for “Animation of the Year” at the 45th Japan Academy Film Prize.

Jujutsu Kaisen 0 is currently scoring 9/10 on IMDB and 8.45/10 on MyAnimeList.

No updates on season 2 of the anime…

At the time of writing, 10 months after the conclusion of season 1, there has not been any official confirmation that the anime will return for a second broadcast.

However, fans are completely aware that the anime is destined to return and that a public announcement is only a formality at this point.

Not only is Jujutsu Kaisen one of the most popular series in the world right now, but has plenty of source material left to adapt into another season.

According to reports online, season 1 adapted up until roughly volume 8 chapter 64 in the original manga. The good news is that, as of January 2022, 161 chapters across 18 volumes have been published.

Overall, fans should expect an announcement concerning season 2 to be made within the next six months, in order to take advantage of the excitement generated from Jujutsu Kaisen 0.
